While Hazleton Area might've come up empty on Saturday, Fred Corrado wasn't going down without a fight. Corrado wasn't messing around, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with one or fewer earned runs.

Looking ahead, Corrado and Hazleton Area will take on Wilkes-Barre at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Corrado's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Cougars' nine-game streak of wins on the road.
