The Grafton Clippers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past Tabb 52-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Grafton also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Grafton to victory were Taylor Ragland and Alonni Wells. Ragland dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds, while Wells scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was Wells' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Wilson, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tabb, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will take on Christchurch School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tabb, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bruton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
