The Ridge Red Devil had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over Woodbridge at home. The result was nothing new for Ridge, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Deady led the charge by rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Turner, who gained 113 total yards and two touchdowns.
Ridge's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. As for Woodbridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge will take on Northern Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern Highlands knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Woodbridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
