While losing is never fun, Cary can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Apex Friendship is ranked 109th).
Cary lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chase Cleveland, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Rayshone Gullatt, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Cary has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Apex Friendship, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Cary will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Allowing an average of 51.1 points per game, Green Hope has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest. As for Apex Friendship, they will head out on the road to challenge Green Level at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Level is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
