Wishkah Valley has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will face off against the Crescent Loggers at 6:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Wishkah Valley was the victim of a tough 51-27 loss at the hands of Thorp.
Meanwhile, Crescent entered their tilt with Lake Quinault with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Crescent blew past Lake Quinault, posting a 68-18 victory on the road. Given Crescent's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Lake Quinault is ranked 335th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Crescent can attribute much of their success to Henry Bourm, who scored 18 points along with five steals, and Lukas Love, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bourm scored 15 or more points. Dominiq Sprague was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Wishkah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Crescent, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Wishkah Valley took a serious blow against Crescent when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 69-8. Can Wishkah Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
