The Sleepy Hollow Horsemen will head out on the road to face off against the Ramapo Gryphons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Sleepy Hollow fell victim to Rye's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Garnets, falling 33-0. While losing is never fun, Sleepy Hollow can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Rye is ranked 47th).
Meanwhile, Ramapo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 33-26 to Walter Panas.
This is the second loss in a row for Sleepy Hollow and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-0 Pleasantville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 87.5% over those games). As for Ramapo, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-6.
