After flying high against the Wilmot Wolves last Tuesday, the Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] Tigers came back down to earth. Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] took a serious blow against Oakes on Monday, falling 64-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] has scored all season.
Oakes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Thorpe, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Schmitz, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Oakes, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] will be playing at home against Maple River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakes, they will head out on the road to face off against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Wyndmere/Lidgerwood is ranked 73rd, while Oakes is ranked 48th).
