Even though the Bellefontaine Chieftains have not done well against the Tecumseh Arrows recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Bellefontaine secured a 44-39 W over Tecumseh. That's two games straight that Bellefontaine has won by exactly five points.
Bellefontaine was led to victory by Quinlan Zedeker and Lexi Robinson. Zedeker scored 14 points along with three steals, while Robinson scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Boop, who scored 12 points.
Bellefontaine is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Tecumseh, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellefontaine will challenge Wapakoneta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tecumseh's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northmont at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Northmont is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
