The Eastern Wayne Warriors can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Beddingfield, posting a 61-29 win at home. The victory was familiar territory for Eastern Wayne who now have five in a row.
Beddingfield's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Natasha Marshall, who scored 13 points, and Sa'Naiya Coppedge who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Eastern Wayne pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Beddingfield, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern Wayne will face off against North Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (North Johnston: 27, Eastern Wayne: 29.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Beddingfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Beddingfield is facing Princeton at the right time seeing as Princeton is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
