The Chief Paul Memorial Falcons put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Nelson Island with a 65-61 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Nelson Island still got an impressive performance from Brennan Lincoln, who scored 29 points. Lincoln has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Nelson, who scored 11 points.
Chief Paul Memorial pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Nelson Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Chief Paul Memorial on the road again on Saturday and play against Chaputnguak at 9:30 p.m. on January 27th. Chaputnguak and Chief Paul Memorial are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Nelson Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
