The Legacy Charter Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Trinity Prep Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Legacy Charter is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
Legacy Charter suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Lakeside Christian by a score of 44-42.
Mallory Daniels put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 29 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Kraus, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Trinity Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Father Lopez, falling 49-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Trinity Prep has suffered since December 6, 2023.
Legacy Charter has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Trinity Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Legacy Charter was able to grind out a solid victory over Trinity Prep when the teams last played back in December of 2018, winning 41-29. Will Legacy Charter repeat their success, or does Trinity Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
