The Christian Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-19 loss at the hands of La Jolla. While losing is never fun, Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 395th, while La Jolla is ranked 143rd).
Despite the loss, Christian still got an impressive performance from Brady Eads, who rushed for 199 yards on only 14 carries, and also picked up 140 receiving yards and a touchdown. Eads really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Zacharzuk, who threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
La Jolla was led to victory by Aidan Mcgill and Jackson Diehl. Mcgill gained 183 total yards and two touchdowns, while Diehl rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Diehl is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played.
Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for La Jolla, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Jolla also has no future games currently scheduled.
