The Northwood Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 75-30 win over Seaforth at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-16.
Leading Northwood to victory were Cameron Fowler and Drake Powell. Fowler scored 16 points along with five rebounds, while Powell scored seven points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The contest was Fowler's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ashton Elliott, who scored eight points.
Northwood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.67 points. As for Seaforth, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwood will square off against Graham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Seaforth is on the road again on Friday and play against North Moore at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. North Moore is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
