Tony Marshall Dazzles in Plant City Victory
Starting off the list is Plant City's Tony Marshall, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Marshall rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
The win (which was Plant City's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Marshall and Plant City will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverview Sarasota at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Newsome has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Sapp's next contest is against Sumner on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

A Season-Best Effort from Jaikim Haggans Leads Newsome over Alonso
Newsome was led to victory by Jaikim Haggans, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Haggans rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 114 or more in the last three games he's played.
On the season, Haggans has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 86 rushing yards per game.

Plant City Gets a Boost from Denson in 41-6 Victory
Chris Denson was instrumental in extending Plant City's winning streak to five on Thursday. Nobody could stop Denson as he threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 59 yards on only six carries.
Unfortunately for Strawberry Crest, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Denson. Denson threw for 216 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes the last time he and the Chargers duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Constellation of Stars for Newsome
Another Newsome player making an appearance on this list is Noah Guenther. He rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 147 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes.
This season, Guenther has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 90.5 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after ten games last season, he was only averaging 9.6 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 38.5 rushing yards.
