Volleyball Recap: Struthers Has No Trouble Against Chaney

Struthers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chaney Cowboys. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Struthers took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-10.

Natalie Wolikow had an outrageously good game as she had ten aces and five assists. Those ten aces gave her a new career-high.

Wolikow wasn't the only good server: Struthers was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaney only served three aces.

Struthers picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Chaney, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Struthers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lakeview on the 28th. As for Chaney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against McKinley on the 28th.
