The Longmont Trojans won the last time they faced the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks, and things went their way on Friday too. Longmont really took it to Cheyenne Mountain for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-31 win on the road. With that victory, Longmont brought their scoring average up to 58 points per game.
Longmont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi Scheck, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Joey Foot, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Longmont now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cheyenne Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Longmont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Air Academy at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Air Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Widefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
