Baseball Recap: First State Military Academy Wins Going Away Against Dupont

First State Military Academy got themselves on the board against DuPont on Monday, but DuPont never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers 11-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Steven Bright made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. First State Military Academy is 3-1 when Bright posts eight or more strikeouts, but 5-9 otherwise. Bright was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, First State Military Academy let Alex Bright and Jacob Porrini run wild. Bright went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double, while Porrini went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Bright a new career-high. Maddox Holland was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

First State Military Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

First State Military Academy's record is now 8-10. As for DuPont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
