Bennington has gone a perfect 7-0 against Plattsmouth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Badgers will host the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Bennington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Plattsmouth likes a good challenge.
Two weeks ago, Bennington didn't have too much trouble with Wayne as they won 62-44. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Badgers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 97th).

Bennington's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Landon McCarville, who went 6-for-8 en route to 16 points, and Kale Lamberty, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 17 points. What's more, McCarville also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2025. Brady Nichols was another key player, putting up nine points.
Bennington was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne only posted nine.
Meanwhile, Plattsmouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 54-43 to Standing Bear.
Bennington will have to keep a close watch on Derek Nanke and Nathan Frederick, a pair of players who had a big impact on Plattsmouth's prior game. Nanke posted nine points and seven rebounds, while Frederick shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Pella, who had six points.
Bennington has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. As for Plattsmouth, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's matchup: Bennington has been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 37.4% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Plattsmouth, though, as they've only made 28.5% of their three-pointers this season. Given Bennington's sizable advantage in that area, the Blue Devils will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bennington was able to grind out a solid victory over Plattsmouth in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, winning 64-53. Do the Badgers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
