Los Fresnos gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They managed a 34-28 win over the McAllen Bulldogs. The Falcons pushed the score to 34-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, McAllen still got an impressive performance from McCoy Wolthoff, who threw for 382 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 30 yards.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Fresnos is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McAllen, they will head out to take on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
