After flying high against the Lansdale Catholic Crusaders last Sunday, the Devon Prep Tide came back down to earth. Devon Prep fell to the Crusaders 58-53. While losing is never fun, Devon Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Crusaders are ranked 14th).
Several Tide players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reece Craft, who scored 18 points. Craft continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. Zane Conlon was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Devon Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Father Judge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Devon Prep will look to defend their home court on Sunday against the Vikings at 2:30 p.m. Archbishop Wood will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Father Judge, they will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
