The biggest upset of the week belonged to Kennedy, who took down 847th ranked Florin, 38-26. Floyd Hillis-Cooper ran for 318 yards during the win.
Sacramento moved up to 316 from 350 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Metropolitan. The Dragons climbed the ranks as a result of topping Rosemont 43-40.
Hillis-Cooper was a beast in the backfield as the Cougars bested the Panthers.
Caden Voges threw for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 16-24 with 2 interceptions.
Kaleem Khan made the biggest impact on defense this week as Florin lost to Kennedy. The 5-foot-10 senior racked up 1 sack.
Voges put up the best numbers through the air as Sacramento topped the Wolverine. Voges' favorite target this week was Damen Wheeler, who caught 6 passes for 162 yards.
Paul Doherty's team's Voges and Wheeler led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Voges has thrown for 2,705 yards this season, while Wheeler, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 53 catches for 1,063 yards. Matthew Costa's team's Hillis-Cooper leads the league in rushing yards with 1,745.
McClatchy's Kijafa Burgie is a mere 41 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 117 carries Burgie has accumulated 959 yard this year.
The Lions are in fourth place, while Sacramento is in first place.
Burbank added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Valley, 63-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Titans.
