Even though the South Point Red Raiders scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Palisades Pumas still came out on top. Palisades took down South Point 70-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Palisades.
Palisades' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayln Hayes, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Henry, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
South Point's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Graham Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. The game was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Greyson Kines, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Palisades now has a winning record of 3-2. As for South Point, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Palisades will play host again and welcome Rocky River, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocky River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 409 points over their last six contests. South Point will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Catawba Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th.
