Fans got a thrill when John McDonald and Derreck Sicola connected against Brazos Christian. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in 2A-2 Region III District 12 this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Deweyville beat Hull-Daisetta 50-26. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Pirates.
Anderson-Shiro's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Fighting Owls feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McDonald has thrown for 361 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Sicola has 6 catches for 174 yards.
Corrigan-Camden scaled the state rankings by moving to 217 from 263 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Crockett 54-17.
