Swain County is 0-10 against Robbinsville since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Maroon Devils will be playing at home against the Black Knights at 4:30 p.m. Swain County is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Swain County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over Andrews on Tuesday. Considering the Maroon Devils have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Rylee Rawls spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hadley Shuler, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Reese Ammons, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Shuler wasn't the only one making solid contact: Swain County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Robbinsville had just enough and edged out Murphy 5-4 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Black Knights.
Naomi Taylor made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Taylor was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
In other batting news, Suri Watty was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Ella Atwell was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Swain County pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Robbinsville, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Swain County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .362. However, it's not like Robbinsville struggles in that department as they've averaged .377. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Swain County came up short against Robbinsville in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 6-2. Can the Maroon Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
