On Monday, Beta Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to Bob Hope.
Despite the loss, Beta Academy saw an underclassman step up: Hosea Aguilar scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aguilar has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Balian Aguilar, who scored eight points.
Bob Hope got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alijah Airiavbere out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Airiavbere has scored at least a third of Bob Hope's points. Jorge Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Beta Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bob Hope, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
