The North Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of South by a score of 38-35. North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Angelie Cisternino, who scored 11 points. Cisternino is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Cami Welty, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for South, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North will take on the Lions at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Orange will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for South, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
