The Cottonwood Colts waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Hillcrest with points to spare, taking the game 68-51. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Cottonwood has managed all season.
Cottonwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peter Oguama, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Ryan Nielson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Cottonwood has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Hillcrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.
Cottonwood will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to take on Tooele at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tooele is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
