East Jessamine has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Mercer County Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Jessamine has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 251 points over their last four matchups.
East Jessamine posted their biggest win since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Garrard County 74-43 at home.
Keelyn Daniel was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. Another player making a difference was Righteous Harris, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mercer County lost to Bryan Station at home by a decisive 69-51 margin last Saturday. While losing is never fun, Mercer County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Bryan Station is ranked 17th).
East Jessamine is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Mercer County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
East Jessamine couldn't quite finish off Mercer County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 67-64. Can East Jessamine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
