Luc Aguilar Delivers Best Effort of Season
Luc Aguilar produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Seton Catholic to the win on Friday. Aguilar rushed for 298 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Aguilar has averaged 43.7 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 14.

A Season-Best Effort from Kanai Hongo Leads Gila Ridge over Cibola
On Thursday, Gila Ridge got the W thanks in part to Kanai Hongo playing the best football he has all season. Hongo rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Gila Ridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
The win got Gila Ridge back to even at 3-3. Hongo and Gila Ridge will square off against Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The second Gila Ridge player making an appearance here is Andy Rodriguez, and for good reason. He picked up three sacks and made six total tackles.

Elijah May Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Elijah May of Independence. May made 13 total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defended a pass.
With the defeat, Independence broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. May and Independence will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sierra Linda at 7:00 p.m. on October 24th.
