Comanche had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-9 to make it four. They lost 13-5 to the Millsap Bulldogs. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.
Jaxon Salinas made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Kye Keeter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
As for Millsap, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
On Millsap's side, Lane King made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. King was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Caden Bean looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Miles Griffin, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Millsap's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Briscoe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
While Comanche had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
