The Mercer County Titans can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Monday. They took their  match at home  with ease, bagging a  72-32 win over Burgin. While fans of Mercer County might be used to big wins, the 40-point margin marked the team's biggest  victory yet this season.
 Mercer County was led to victory by  Izzie Carlton and  Ak Drakeford.  Carlton  almost  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and nine  rebounds, while  Drakeford  dropped  a double-double on 28 points and ten  assists. Drakeford hasn't dropped below 17 points for 15 straight games. Another player making a difference was  Alexa Wade, who  scored six points along with two  steals.
 The  victory  makes it two in a row for Mercer County and  bumps their season record up to 12-7. As for Burgin,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-11.
 Mercer County won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against the Jaguars at 6:00  p.m.  on January 30th. East Jessamine will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Titans are ranked 85th). As for Burgin, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against the Commanders at 6:00  p.m.
