Despite their loss, Denbigh Baptist Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ethan Claville, who scored 19 points, was perhaps the best of all. Cristian Wright was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-35, which was the final score in Portsmouth Christian's tilt against Hampton Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Denbigh Baptist Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Portsmouth Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Denbigh Baptist Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Portsmouth Christian in their previous matchup back in January, winning 54-45.
