After soaring to 59 points the game before, the Gila Ridge Hawks were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 74-19 defeat at the hands of Shadow Ridge. Gila Ridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.
Easton Sheppeard was Gila Ridge's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Sheppeard also led the team in rebounds with four.
Gila Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Shadow Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Gila Ridge will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West Point at 7:00 p.m. As for Shadow Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Willow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Willow Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Shadow Ridge likes a good challenge.
