Bell is 6-1 against Fort White since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Bell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Bell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Dixie County with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Alaina Thomas and Aurelia Darling made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Thomas tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Darling tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Thomas went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Darling went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits Darling has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dacy Graham, who went 2-for-3 with six RBI, two triples, and two stolen bases. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayzie Carpenter, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Bell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Fort White entered their tilt with Suwannee on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 3-1.
Kadence Compton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Compton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Compton wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Khloe Kirby, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Bell's record now sits at 8-13. As for Fort White, their record is now 16-5.
Bell came out on top in a nail-biter against Fort White in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
