Discovery had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-15 win over the Tenoroc Titans. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 20-3 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Tinnley Rittinghouse was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in six of her nine plate appearances. Shalexis Elise was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Discovery will challenge Santa Fe Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tenoroc will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on March 12th.
