Serena never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with  a   5-0  win over the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers. That five run margin sets a new team best for the Huskers this season.
  Wesley Hendricks and  Ryne DeBernardi did most of the damage at the plate:  Hendricks  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs, while  DeBernardi  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  DeBernardi a new career-high.
Serena moved to 3-10 with that  victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Serena will square off against Indian Creek at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Huskers are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on  a  13-game losing streak. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they will face off against Momence at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
