The Manzanola Bobcats had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Colorado School for the Deaf Blind with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 34-17. After a 73-40 finish the last time they played, Manzanola and Colorado School for the Deaf Blind decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.
Manzanola's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Canye Trujillo, who scored ten points along with eight steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jullian Chavez, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Manzanola's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-6. As for Colorado School for the Deaf Blind, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Manzanola will square off against Primero at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hanover at 4:30 p.m. on February 5th.
