The Sandy Valley Sidewinders came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Mountain View Christian 55-12 at home. Sandy Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Sandy Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tage Colon out in front who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Antonio Ramos, who scored ten points.
Sandy Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Mountain View Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandy Valley will take on Liberty Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Liberty Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 last Friday. As for Mountain View Christian, they will be playing at home against Word of Life Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
