It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Benedictine Cadets had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed by Baldwin at home to the tune of 41-0. The victory was just business as usual for Benedictine, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Benedictine had a senior duo take command as Na'seir Samuel rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries and Luke Kromenhoek threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns. Benedictine also got help from La'don Bryant who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.
Benedictine's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.69 points. As for Baldwin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Benedictine will be playing in front of their home fans against LaGrange at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. LaGrange is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
