It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Monmouth Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Washington Academy Raiders. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Monmouth Academy's eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Washington Academy, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-3.

As of now, neither Monmouth Academy nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
