Penns Grove (Carneys Point, N.J.) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 66-0 victory over Pennsville Memorial (Pennsville, N.J.) on Saturday.
The Red Devils were up 60-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Anthony Robertson in the first quarter.
Penns Grove expanded its lead to 66 points entering the fourth quarter. PG scored once in the quarter on a
Nick Elmer touchdown run.
A 30-point first quarter set the table for the Carneys Point school, which coasted the rest of the way for the victory.
The Red Devils' most effective player was Elmer. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 14 touchdowns on the season.
Penns Grove went into the matchup giving up only 2.9 points per game. The zero points that the Eagles ended with were well below their average of 33.8 coming into the game.
PG got revenge for last year's 21-14 loss to Pennsville Memorial with the victory.
The Red Devils (10-0) will play a playoff game against Paulsboro next week. The Red Raiders will bring a record of 7-2 into the meeting.
