Mohawk waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Seneca East Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
One reason for the win was Mohawk's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mohawk to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cara Peterson, who had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Peterson a new career-high. Reese Hoover was another key player, getting 11 assists and eight digs.
Mohawk's record is now 5-0. As for Seneca East, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mohawk will square off against Ontario at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Seneca East, they will take on Wynford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
