Grace Academy entered their tilt with the Providence Prep Rams with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Grace Academy came out on top against the Rams by a score of 52-45 on Tuesday. For Grace Academy, this counts as revenge for the 53-51 defeat the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Grace Academy found their leader in underclassman Samuel Moore, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Canyon Maxwell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Providence Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Asa Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Clark Morrison was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and three steals.
Grace Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Providence Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
Grace Academy will head out on the road to square off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m.
