After losing to the St. Mary Eagles the last time they met, the Glen Lake Lakers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Glen Lake blew past St. Mary 56-17 on the road. With Glen Lake ahead 32-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Glen Lake was led to victory by Jacob Plamondon and Cooper Bufalini. Plamondon scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds, while Bufalini scored 12 points along with 3 steals. The contest was Plamondon's third in a row with at least ten points. Keaton LaCross was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Glen Lake now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Mary, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-4 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Lake is on the road again on Friday and play against Alpena at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Alpena will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Glen Lake is ranked 137th). As for St. Mary, they will head out on the road to face off against Brimley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Brimley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
