It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Central Grizzlies had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past Liberty with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. Winning may never get old, but Central sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Marquez, who threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Marquez is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Braylen Hall was in the mix as well, providing Central with two touchdowns.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Clovis North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis North is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
