The Chaparral Roadrunners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over Conway Springs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chaparral.
Kaylee Swartz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Paige Swingle was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Conway Springs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Melissa Ebenkamp. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Daniel, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Conway Springs, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will take on Moundridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Cammi Unruh and Auburn Hill. As for Conway Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Collegiate on Tuesday. Collegiate comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
