The Northern Nash Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against D.H. Conley, falling 72-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northern Nash in their matchups with D.H. Conley: they've now lost eight in a row.
D.H. Conley had a senior duo take command as Ella Pierre-Louis dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds and Aubrey Mayberry scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pierre-Louis has scored all season. Layonee Whitaker was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Northern Nash has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for D.H. Conley, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Nash will take on Bunn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for D.H. Conley, they will be playing at home against Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jacksonville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
