The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Everglades Prep Academy in their matchups with Somerset Academy (Silver Palms): they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Everglades Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: Quintero Frierson picked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown. Frierson was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.
Everglades Prep Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.7 points per game. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
Everglades Prep Academy is on the road again on Thursday and play against Palm Glades Prep Academy at 3:30 p.m. on October 26th. Palm Glades Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), they will head out on the road to face off against Killian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
