The Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 50-28 loss at the hands of Highmore/Harrold. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sunshine Bible Academy of the 54-26 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Sunshine Bible Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sadie Konechne, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Annaliese VanZee who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Konechne pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Sunshine Bible Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Highmore/Harrold, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Sunshine Bible Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Hitchcock-Tulare is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Highmore/Harrold, they will head out on the road to square off against the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lyman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
