The Pace Academy Knights stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Stockbridge 82-29 at home. The win was nothing new for Pace Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pace Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Greene, who scored six points along with ten assists and six steals. Greene has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Eric Chatfield was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists.
Jason Brookins and Chase Taylor certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Brookins scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Taylor scored nine points along with two blocks. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played.
Stockbridge struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Pace Academy racked up 21 assists.
Pace Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Stockbridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Pace Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Averaging 69.23 points so far this season, Pace Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Woodland better be ready for a challenge. As for Stockbridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hampton is coming into the contest with six straight losses at home, so Stockbridge is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
